This isn’t really that big of news but it is true that from Europe, UK, and USA that the top 10% of all users of all internet bandwidth uses 90% of the data. For example I am on AT&T’s now defunked unlimited data plan and thanks to things like Netflix, pandora, and rhapsody I use close 10gb of bandwidth where most AT&T users us less than 2 gb a month. So spreaking on behalf of the top 10% we wouldnt use so much bandwith if things where not so easy to get to online via a phone. For example this time last year I had a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone I could watch just Youtube clips that was all. Then after upgrading to Android I started to really use my phone! So to me if phone companies want to complain about phone data usage then they should have never broke free from the ‘limited’ internet plans they once had in early 2000′s.
