Before you go crazy here is what happened back when McG had the rights to make the new Superman movie he had Robert Downey Jr locked in as Lex Luthor. Now the rumors that surrounded his version of Superman was that Ashton Kutcher was going to be Superman, Rose Byrne was going to be Lois Lane. None of that turned out to be true according to him, but what is true is that he had Robert Downey Jr as Lex Luthor. So why didn’t he make the movie well Warner Brothers told him the movie filmed in Australia and because he is scared of flying he would not do the movie. According to him this is how the Superman movie would have went. The Lex Luthor in the film would’ve been slightly different from anything we have seen before. He was actually Kryptonian (from Superman’s Hometown), and wasn’t some corporate nut-job but a doctor employed by the C.I.A. In the end the movie would have made Lex and Superman fight it out. I feel it was better that this movie was stopped. The idea that you would do this type of Superman after the Superman Returns would have killed the series for sure.
