Google just set a new goal to not only be the number 1 search engine, browser, and phone. They now want to take over your home!!! They are now saying that with new TV’s that will run full blown versions of Android, they will be making things like home lighting, refrigerators, and even thermostats. All of these things will be controlled by your phone. Picture a time where you can turn on your home alarm from your phone, tivo your show while not at home, and change your thermostat on the drive home. This is the future that Google will bring to us all. I think if Google can pull this off then they have been able to do something that no other search engine has ever been able to do before and that is truly become the ‘big brother’ everyone has been talking about. I right now I can only think about what rumor mill will come out with once this goes live. I mean if people do not like that Google reads their emails for keywords for advertisements then they are really going to not like that Google knows what there thermostat is or what shows they like to watch on tv. In the end I am happy for Google I love my Android phone and I am excited to know that I can control my tv with my phone, but seriously guys I don’t think is anything worth freaking out about.
