So this is a odd story that a girl that was home schooled decided because of her accelerated intelligence she needs to go to college to finish her education. She passes the entry exam but the college does not want her because she is only 12. They say that even though there is no age limit on getting into college they feel that 12 is to low and that they have allowed people as young as 15 into the school but do not want to take a chance with a 12 year old. The parents of this child then complained to the board and they rejected their claim. They then took it to the state level and the government told the school to allow the girl to go to the school. I do not see the schools point if the person can pass the entry exams then let them in. I do think that 12 years old is very young but that is what online classes are for. Just push them to do online stuff till they are of age to come on campus I mean come on, with technology we have today we should be able to work with this child without having to bring the government in on it.
